This review evaluates the NavigatorX application, emphasizing its capabilities while providing important information for potential users.

• User Operation: It is recommended that users allow fellow passengers to operate the application for safety. Usage of NavigatorX is at the user’s own risk.
• Voice Activation: Users can initiate or halt route guidance through voice commands such as “Hey Siri” followed by “Navigation” or “Search a new route” on iOS 12.
• Current Location: The current location serves as the starting point for any new routes generated within the application.
• Shortcuts Management: To utilize shortcuts, they must first be added in the iOS settings under Siri & Search. Furthermore, if shortcuts are not visible, ensure the switch for Search, Suggestions & Shortcuts under NavigatorX settings is activated.
• Landscape Orientation: The navigation feature accommodates landscape orientation for enhanced usability.
• Route Options: NavigatorX facilitates route searching for various activities including driving, walking, and biking (available only in the US). Up to eight waypoints can be defined along with the ability to display moved tracks.
• Street View Feature: Users can access Street View near the start point, end point, or any waypoint by tapping the designated icon.
• Automatic Re-routing: The application is capable of automatically re-routing if the user drifts off course.
• Points of Interest: Users can save and back up points of interest (POIs), with alarms set to notify users approximately 400 meters from a landmark.
• Information Access: Users can toggle between the remaining distance/time to their destination or nearest waypoint by tapping or long-pressing the information window located at the bottom right during navigation.
• Place Searching Improvements: Searching for nearby places can be conducted using keywords such as bank, subway station, or store.
• Map Viewing Options: The estimated current location tracking can be disabled for 10 seconds, allowing users to view other areas on the map during navigation.
• Map Night Mode: Night mode can be activated through the settings menu, along with an auto-select feature while navigating.
• Background Mode: Tracks can be saved in background mode by enabling the relevant switch in Settings.

The application also offers two add-on features:

• No Advertisements: This add-on removes all advertisements from the user experience.
• The Plus Add-on: Enhanced navigation functions are provided without advertisements. Features include crossroad views, alarm sounds, and data-saving capabilities along with approaching reminders set at 100 meters and 500 meters from designated points.

Approaching Notification Configurations:

This feature allows users to define approaching points from saved POIs using a designated file. Users need to establish groups of approaching notification points first; individual management of notification on/off functions is available for each group.
